Who we are, what we stand for, and how we work.
The Indian Association for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
The Indian Association for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (IACBT) was registered in 2016 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Reg. No. 1931), and is a permanent member of the Asian Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Association (ACBTA). IACBT is primarily a professional interest group aimed at clinical practice, research and training in CBT.
IACBT is not a licensing body. Instead, it aims to develop and run training courses as per its mandate, and to establish a system of accreditation and continued professional development for CBT practitioners registered with the association, while upholding the highest professional and ethical guidelines. All IACBT members are expected to follow a code of professional conduct.
